Atari has announced it’s return to the retro gaming market with their new Atari Flashback 2.0. Inspired by the recent rash of TV Games, Atari has decided to cash in on the retro gaming craze by releasing this sequel to their succesful Atari Flashback machine. The original flashback featured the hokey 7800 joysticks which no one ever liked and often broke. It sported a 20 game variety of 7800 and 2600 games. The new Atari Flashback 2.0 will look just like the beloved Atari 2600 albeit a smaller scale, but has a real Atari 2600 ROM in it as well as real 2600 joysticks. In fact, you should be able to swap out your original sticks if you like–it’s the same pin-out! It will have 40 games in all, 20 classic and 20 new. All of us ancient Atari fans are drooling to find out what the new ones are.
